The plight of the white football player

Never has racial tension been so high. You all know what i’m talking about. It is a major issue that has plagued this country for years. Who is to blame? The media? Society? Words like cerebral and intangibles are bringing people down. And it’s time we stop it. Yes people. I’m talking about the plight of the caucasian football player.

“When you read about white athletes these days and white skill possession receivers specifically, one word you’ll always find is tough. You’ll rarely see explosive, athletic, stuff like that. … You get a little bit upset: ‘I ran the same 40 as this guy, and you’re calling him … .’ People do the eye test and underestimate me, so I do play with a chip on my shoulder.” – Christian McCaffrey AKA College Footballs most explosive athlete. Look at me just breaking down racial barriers.

Sidenote: The Heisman race is actually going to be good this year. 3 way showdown between McCaffrey, Clemson’s Deshaun Watson, and Louisville’s Lamar Jackson.

OH WOW ROSS! After his first start at LSU, Danny Etling is displaying Matt Flynn-like characteristics?! Or did he just remind you of another white QB LSU once had. Matt Flynn won a national championship at LSU. Matt Flynn was very ‘cerebral’. This is a micro-aggression and it will not be tolerated.

Exhibit B

LOLOLOLOLOL. Perfect. So many white-isms in one little quote. If McCarthy would have added a “real high football IQ” or a “deceptively fast” it would have been glorious.

Ah Chris Hogan. This guy ran a 4.5 “official” 40-yd dash and once clocked a 4.37 in the 40. HE IS FAST. HE IS GOOD. But Bleacher Report’s Michelle Bruton (I’m calling you out Michelle) couldn’t refrain from using the ‘S’ word.

“The scrappy 6’1, 220 lb. receiver was initially pegged for the slot; he’s incredibly fast.” -Michelle Bruton

Michelle, you could have just said he’s fast. How does one scrap? Is there an art to scrapping? Do coaches in the NFL say “Hey listen, I need you to scrap some more.”  I wonder if any scouts watched Randall Cobb in college an said, “WOW he is scrappy.” NO. They most likely said something like, “This dude can fly. Wow, and he played QB? Coach, the kid is just a ball player .”

BTW- Hogan played lacrosse at Penn State before deciding to play football for a year at Monmouth. Safe to say he made the right decision. #ChilLAXbro

Woodhead. So scrappy right now. Just scrappin’ all over the field. Look at him scrap. Dare I say he is ‘scraptacular’? Have a good weekend #DirtballFam. Stay scrappy friends.
